Governor Sanders and DFA Secretary Jim Hudson today announced the recipients of approximately $150 million in funding through the Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP). RHTP was established through President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill.
Governor Sanders and DFA anticipate Arkansas will receive approximately $1 billion in RHTP funding over the next five years.
“I want to say thank you to President Trump, Secretary Kennedy, CMS Administrator Dr. Oz, and Arkansas’ Congressional delegation, who created the RHTP program through last year’s One Big Beautiful Bill,” said Governor Sanders.
“The Trump Administration’s Rural Health Transformation Program is based on one simple idea: your access to quality health care shouldn’t depend on your ZIP code,” said Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz. “Funding new approaches to expand access to both primary and specialty care is a critical step toward achieving that vision for Arkansans, and I look forward to seeing RHTP investments drive equally transformative innovations for rural communities nationwide.”
