It’s good to see road work finally happening in Camden. That’s something everyone wants.

But residents are noticing that the work so far has been concentrated in one area of town, while many other neighborhoods are still dealing with the same issues they’ve had for years.

The bigger question here is simple: What’s the plan for the rest of the city?

Is there a timeline? A schedule? A clear list of what areas are next?

None of this has been released to public.

People aren’t just looking for progress in the nicer neighborhoods. They want to know that every part of Camden is being considered.

Transparency matters, and every neighborhood deserves attention.

The cost is clear.
But checking your voter status or registering takes just a few minutes.

Primary elections shape the ballot before November. Showing up starts with making sure you’re on it.

Check your status. Register if you need to.
It’s simple. It’s fast.

Restaurants and social outlets are important. They bring us together and add life to the city. But here’s the truth: without real economic opportunity, those things can’t thrive long-term.

Our city needs jobs that keep families stable, career paths that give young people a reason to stay, and development that attracts new businesses. That’s what true economic growth looks like.

For this next 2026 election, it’s time we ask the tough questions and push for leadership that has proven to be equipped for the task at hand. The future of our city depends on it.

Public servants should be transparent and accountable, they should not play games of legislative finesse. Our city deserves leaders who respect the process.

No more backroom deals and a marionette city government. Meetings before the meeting and anonymous governance cannot be the standard. Total transparency and accountability must be.

Your hospital is cutting services. Units are closing. Jobs are on the line. Families are wondering if they’ll still have access to quality health care close to home.

State and local leaders hassle you for votes during election time, but fail to show up with something as simple as reassuring words during a time of crisis.
And those who could step up (your mayor, your state rep, your senator, or your governor) are failing to speak up on the issue. This is not the time to solely focus on feel-good events. This is the time to lead, to calm fears, to fight for resources, to show the people that they matter.

When election season comes, remember this moment. Ask the hard questions. Think about how those in power handled this crisis, and how they’ll handle the next one.

Leadership isn’t popularity. Leadership is showing up when your people need you most.

Leadership always leaves a trail… receipts, results, or ruins.

And when the gas shut off and the phones disconnected at the Chamber, that trail was loud and clear.

If that’s what happened before…
Imagine what happens when the whole city is on the line.

👉Start asking: If leadership failed before, what’s really different now?

A mayor isn’t just a manager of potholes and parades.
When it comes to rural hospitals, public schools, and community needs — silence isn’t leadership.

When the city hits turbulence, people look to their ‘captain’.
But if the seat’s empty… or worse, the captain sees danger ahead and says nothing… we’ve got a bigger problem.

👉 Start asking: Who’s really leading, and where are they taking us?

It’s not a secret. In Camden, certain local businesses get resources, recognition, and ribbon-cuttings, while others barely get a return phone call.

If support for small business only applies to a few, it’s not “support”… it’s favoritism.

Running for city office isn’t just about getting on the ballot… it’s about showing up with a plan.

No clear priorities. No real solutions. No record of successful leadership. So what exactly are voters being asked to support?

A familiar name isn’t enough. Personality isn’t policy. And when there’s no substance behind the spotlight, it’s just a pig in a poke.

Don’t vote blind. Ask the hard questions.
