We invite neighborhoods, churches, and community organizations across the state to come together on Sunday, July 5, to share a communal meal, build connections, and enjoy time with the people in your life. Your gathering can be an existing potluck where you add an America 250 touch, or a brand new event created just for the occasion.

Today, the Arkansas250 Commission unveiled a historical marker at the Old State House Museum. Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders attended and delivered remarks recognizing the Old State House Museum's role in our state's history.

Guests also celebrated Arkansas' 190th birthday with cake and cookies, while living history reenactors brought the past to life through demonstrations on museum grounds. Members of the local chapter of the D.A.R. also attended and participated.

On Thursday, June 4, the Arkansas250 Commission dedicated a historical marker in Rogers at the site of the very first Walmart commemorating Walmart's role in our state's history.

The marker commemorates Walmart's role not just in Arkansas history but in national history. We are proud to be able to recognize both Walmart's and Sam Walton's role in Arkansas history.
