The District’s raw water comes from the City of Aurora via the South Platte River systems. Water is redirected at the nearby Strontia Springs reservoir to bring the fresh Rocky Mountain water, allocated for Roxborough customers, directly to the RWSD water treatment plant located just south of Titan road. There, the raw water is filtered to meet and/or exceed the strict water quality standards esta

If you haven’t already, sign up for our free sprinkler evaluation program through Resource Central (at https://resourcecentral.org/sprinklers/) or conduct your own inspection, making sure heads aren’t broken and are set to the proper locations and schedule. Hold off on irrigation until around Mother’s Day, and water only twice a week in accordance with Roxborough’s watering schedule: https://www.roxwaterco.gov/save-water.

Due to a historically low snowpack and the hottest March in CO history, Roxborough Water has instituted Stage 1 Drought restrictions. This means watering no more than twice per week this summer, in accordance with our watering schedule: https://www.roxwaterco.gov/save-water.
