Littleton Police Announces Several Promotions!
Chief Landry recently brought five members of the Littleton Police Department before the Littleton Select Board for approval, establishing the department's next leadership team.
We are proud to announce the following promotions:
--Sergeant Marc Scola, promoted to Deputy Chief of Police
--Sergeant Kimberly Tocci, promoted to Lieutenant
--Detective Patrick O'Donoghue, promoted to Lieutenant
--Officer Ryan Richard, promoted to Sergeant
--Officer James Morine, promoted to Sergeant
Congratulations, Deputy Chief Marc Scola!
Deputy Chief Scola brings 17 years of law enforcement experience to his new position. Most recently, he served as a Day Shift Sergeant, supervising and leading officers while supporting the department's daily operations.
During his career, Deputy Chief Scola has served as Accreditation Manager, Fi****ms Licensing Officer, S*x Offender Registry Officer, and Infection Control Officer. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from Westfield State University and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Anna Maria College. He has also completed the Municipal Police Institute (MPI) Chief and Command Staff Executive Development Series and the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy.
Congratulations, Lieutenant Kimberly Tocci!
Lieutenant Tocci brings 29 years of law enforcement experience to her new role. Most recently, she served as the Evening Shift Sergeant, providing supervision, mentorship, and guidance to officers while helping oversee evening operations.
During her career, Lieutenant Tocci has served as the department's Court Discovery Officer, DCF Portal Liaison, Body-Worn Camera Administrator, and court prosecutor. For many years, she has also served as a Municipal Police Training Academy Staff Instructor, helping train and mentor the next generation of police officers across the Commonwealth.
Lieutenant Tocci holds a Bachelor's Degree from Western New England College and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College. She has completed the MPI Chief and Command Staff Executive Development Series and received the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy Award. She is also a proud member of the Massachusetts Association of Women in Law Enforcement.
Congratulations, Lieutenant Patrick O'Donoghue!
Lieutenant O'Donoghue brings more than 30 years of law enforcement experience to his new leadership role. He has served as a Patrol Officer, Sergeant, and most recently as a Detective with the department's Special Services Unit.
As a detective, Lieutenant O'Donoghue played an integral role in numerous complex criminal investigations and served as the affiant on more than 30 search warrants. He also served as a Task Force Officer with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, investigating crimes involving the exploitation of children and advocating for victims and their families.
Lieutenant O'Donoghue is a graduate of Southern New Hampshire University and the TOP GUN Investigative School. He has received two Life Saving Awards and two MADD Hero Awards.
Congratulations, Sergeant Ryan Richard!
Sgt. Richard brings more than 10 years of law enforcement experience to his new role. He has served in the Patrol Division, as a Field Training Officer (FTO), and as a member of the Northeastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (NEMLEC) Motor Unit. He was also involved in the department's traffic enforcement efforts, deploying our speed trailers to educate local motorists about road safety.
Sgt. Richard earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Fitchburg State University. He has also completed numerous Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) courses and Dean Crisp's Leaders Helping Leaders (LHL) training.
Congratulations, Sergeant James Morine!
Sgt. Morine brings 11 years of law enforcement experience, including more than six years serving Littleton in the Patrol Division. He holds an Associate Degree from Middlesex Community College and an MPTC Fi****ms Instructor Certification, and he is an Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Active Shooter Instructor.
Sgt. Morine has served as a Fi****ms Licensing Officer and an in-house Fi****ms Instructor, and he was a Drill Instructor for our Student Police Academy for local youth. He also serves on the NEMLEC Regional Response Team (RRT).

"These promotions recognize the hard work, professionalism, and dedication each of these officers has demonstrated throughout their careers. Great departments are built by people who care about the work and each other. This team is exactly that.”
