Drought pricing, added on top of existing water rates, is in effect and on your water bills. District customers will soon be seeing their June water bills and for the first time in more than 20 years, those bills include drought charges for outdoor water use.

Denver Water is asking customers to reduce their total water use (outdoors and indoors) by at least 20%, which will help stretch our water supplies and reduce the likelihood of increasing restrictions later this summer.

Mandatory outdoor watering is restricted to two days per week on assigned days and only allowed before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m.

💧 Outdoor watering is limited to TWO days per week:
✔️ Water only before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
✔️ Avoid watering during rain or high winds
✔️ Repair leaking sprinkler systems within 10 days
✔️ Keep water off sidewalks and streets

📅 Watering Schedule:
• Even-numbered addresses: Sunday & Thursday
• Odd-numbered addresses: Wednesday & Saturday
• Multifamily & commercial properties: Tuesday & Friday

Trees, shrubs, gardens, and flower beds may still be watered with drip irrigation or a hand-held hose during allowed hours.

Small changes can make a big difference. By using water wisely now, we can help protect our water supply and avoid stricter restrictions later this summer.
