The Colorado Trail, which takes hikers from Denver to Durango, took volunteers more than a decade to complete. Today, volunteers continue to maintain the roughly-500 mile trail which has fostered a devoted community of hikers around the world.

Watch "Colorado Experience: Building the Colorado Trail" on Thursday, May 21, at 7 p.m. on Rocky Mountain PBS and streaming on RMPBS+.

Such a great service to see Roxborough State Park when mobility is harder!

Want to tour the beautiful rock formations of Roxborough State Park, but unable to walk the trails? Visitors can experience a naturalist guided tour in a five-passenger electric golf cart around the Fountain Valley Trail. The tour features gorgeous views of our red-rock formations, grassy meadows, a wide variety of wildlife and geological features.​

- Rox Ride Tours are offered Mondays and Fridays, mid-May through September (excluding holidays, subject to cancellation due to inclement weather or muddy trails).
- Tours are free with the purchase of a park pass - donations to our Friends of Roxborough State Park are always welcome to help with upkeep!
- All children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Small children must be in a car seat (not provided).
