Election administrators strongly recommend that voters use one of the County’s 39 24-hour ballot drop box locations for the General Election. Drop boxes are monitored 24 hours a day and emptied daily by a bipartisan team of sworn election judges.

Amid concerns about the reliability of the U.S. Postal Service and speculation about obstacles to in-person voting, drop boxes are the most dependable option to return ballots, according to Clerk and Recorder Joan Lopez. Learn more: arapahoeco.gov/news_detail_T13_R1693.php

Arapahoe County will be under a Freeze Warning late tonight through Friday morning, 12 a.m. – 9 a.m.

A Freeze Warning is in effect for late tonight through Friday morning. This will be the first freeze of the season for most of the plains. Temperatures are expected to fall to 26-32F degrees for the Front Range Urban Corridor and all of the eastern plains. Temperatures will fall into the single digits to low 20s for much of the high country. Protect or harvest cold sensitive vegetation. These cold temperatures will likely kill unprotected cold sensitive plants.

Denver South has connected electric scooter service along the I-25 corridor, making it easier for commuters to travel between light rail stations, offices, businesses and other destinations. The pilot program, operated in partnership with SPIN, costs riders $1 to unlock a scooter. The remaining cost is covered by local organizations and districts. WARRANT FORGIVENESS DAY - OCTOBER 17

Do you have an active warrant in Arapahoe County? This could be an opportunity for a fresh start! The Arapahoe District Court is hosting Warrant Forgiveness Day, giving eligible individuals the opportunity to address certain active warrants without being arrested.

⏰ Time: 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
📍 Location: 7325 S. Potomac St., Centennial, CO 80112

Defense attorneys will be available to help eligible participants:
✅ Resolve their case or schedule a new court date
✅ Get back on track with probation
✅ Connect with helpful community resources

The event is open to those with eligible active warrants or probation-violation warrants in Arapahoe County involving certain felony, drug felony, misdemeanor, or traffic offenses. Some cases are excluded, including Victim Rights Act cases, assault, domestic violence, unlawful sexual contact, and child abuse cases.

Arapahoe County celebrated a group of innovative employees at a recent Process Improvement Recognition Ceremony!

Last year, 45 staff members completed 15 projects that saved us nearly $83,000 in hard dollar savings, as well as over 1,105 hours of work time.

Since inception in 2019, the Process Improvement Program has:
• Saved more than 292 days of elapsed time and just under 23,700 hours of work time, valued at more than $920,400
• Reduced errors by an average of nearly 47%
• Saved $754,073 in hard dollars and $158,947 in cost avoidance
