We know summer reading involves a LOT of information to take in, so as a reminder, the first day to turn your reading challenges in is June 30th! Until then, we're still in the registration phase. We're amazed at the dedication for such a quick turnaround, but we aren't quite ready yet!

If you still need to register, come visit us! We have challenges for pre-readers, K-12, and adults.

We're beyond excited to be partnering with Response NH to present this series of healthy relationship skills programs for 4th-6th graders. We'll paint rocks and connect with our artistic side while we learn how to be a good friend and how to recognize the signs of a healthy friendship.

All of these skills are transferable to all sorts of relationships as tweens grow, and learning the signs of a healthy and safe friendship or relationship go a long way in all areas of life. We are so appreciative to Response for partnering with us! No registration is required and kids can come to one or more sessions--whatever works for their schedule!

We're partnering with WMSI! Here's what they have to say about the awesome Family Tinker Time on July 22nd 10-11:30!

Ever looked up at the stars and wondered what all the people who’ve come before you thought about them? Wondered where the constellation names came from, and why we still use them? Join Boston-based astronomer Theodore Hill and White Mountain Science, Inc. (WMSI) for an introduction to the night skies of the North Country region!

In this hands-on presentation, Theodore will guide you through five spectacular star patterns: the harp of Lyra, Cygnus the Swan, Aquila the Eagle, the unmistakable "W" of Cassiopeia, and the familiar Ursa Major with its famous Big Dipper. You'll learn the myths and stories behind each constellation, tips for finding them in the sky, and the brightest stars that mark their shapes. Along the way, you’ll create a take-home constellation box that will bring these constellations to life!

No prior astronomy experience is needed - just bring your curiosity!

Register your family for an awesome morning of astronomy activities with White Mountain Science, Inc. We'll be the Library from 10-11:30 on July 22nd!

Next Wednesday is our Summer Reading kickoff event! Flying High Dogs is an incredible show performed by K9 frisbee world record holder Mike and his dogs! We'll be at the pavilion in Remich Park from 2-3. The show itself is about 45 minutes.

We ask that you please leave your dogs at home and snacks in the car as both can be a distraction to the high flying performers!
