The roofing team from Joe Santamaria Construction are hard at work on a brisk, fall day stripping shingles high up on the top of the Community House roof.

Rolf Wallace of Littleton Millwork starts off the construction project at Littleton Community Center.

This project includes shingling the roof, repairing any structural problems that are found, and insulating areas of the roof as needed.

Rolf is removing and replacing a deteriorated beam on the front porch that was put in place in 1884.

The new car raffle, underway since May, culminated with an event at the Community House on October 19th. All proceeds from the raffle will go towards the roof replacement.

Littleton Millwork is donating time and assisting in ongoing construction. The company has also provided structural repairs on the porch, along with custom millwork.

Community Center Board representatives Debra Simmons and Gail Kimball present a “key” to J.D. McFarlane—the envied winner of the Car Raffle event. J.D. was able to choose from one of two striking cars offered as the raffle grand prize. In the background, work on the urgently needed roof is already in progress as the raffle successfully raised enough funds to make a significant contribution to the total project cost.
