NATIONAL POLICE WEEK-
This week, we honor the men and women who serve and protect our communities during National Police Week. Established to recognize the sacrifices, courage, and commitment of law enforcement officers across the country, National Police Week is a time to remember those who gave their lives in the line of duty and to thank those who continue to serve every day.

We extend our deepest gratitude to all officers, dispatchers, corrections personnel, and law enforcement professionals who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe. Your dedication, professionalism, and sacrifice do not go unnoticed.

Please join us this week in showing appreciation for the brave individuals behind the badge and in honoring the fallen heroes who will never be forgotten.

Press Release***

On May 8, 2026, at approximately 2:10 PM, the Littleton Police Department was dispatched to Bingo Nails, located at 103 Main Street, for a report of shots fired and a female screaming.

Officers from the Littleton Police Department and the Grafton County Sheriff’s Department were already in the area on South Street conducting an unrelated investigation and immediately responded to Main Street. The roadway was shut down, and officers made contact with the business. Upon arrival, there were no reports of injuries, and business operations appeared normal.

While officers were on scene, an updated report was received indicating that an individual was suffering from a gunshot wound in the area of the Little Village Toy Store on Main Street. Officers responded to the area and conducted a search but found nothing suspicious.

The investigation determined that this incident was a “swatting” event. Swatting is the act of making a false emergency report with the intent of generating a large law enforcement response.

This hoax call remains under investigation. At this time, there is no threat to the public.

The ladies at LPD rock!
Public works showed Officer Roman a tiny little hummingbird that was looking mostly dead on the ground. She of course brought it over to the pd. Jamie, Lori and Officer Roman made it some nectar to see if it would drink. It was barely breathing and still on its side. At first it did not drink. We made it a little resting area and continued to offer it nectar a little at a time. Eventually it began moving more, sitting up(eyes still closed) and even made some little peeps. It started drinking the nectar from the end of my finger. All of a sudden it started trying to escape the enclosure and we were able to take it outside and set it free! One of God's beautiful tiny little creatures❤️
