Yesterday evening, the House completed its debate of the FY27 budget. Along with securing funding for local projects in all six First Middlesex towns, the FY27 House budget contains some wins for small towns and school districts across the state. The budget will now head to the Senate.

- ~$1 million increase in Chapter 70 funding across 3 school districts
- ~$168.5 million increase in special education funding
- Increase in minimum per pupil aid from $150-$160
- ~$3 million increase in regional school transportation

Denim Day began in 1999 after the Italian Supreme Court overturned a r**e conviction, arguing that the survivor “must” have helped remove her tight jeans, implying consent. In protest, people across the world wear denim today to stand with survivors and challenge victim-blaming.
