A successful day of planning, collaboration, and preparedness! ⚑

Yesterday, utility professionals from across the region gathered at the NEPPA Training Center for our 2026 Mutual Aid Disaster Exercise. Through realistic disaster scenarios and tabletop discussions, attendees put their knowledge to the test, strengthened mutual aid coordination, and shared ideas to help improve response efforts across our public power community.

A special thank you to Mike Hyland for facilitating the exercise and to Dave Ketchen of Littleton Electric Light and Water Departments for his presentation and insights. We also thank everyone who participated and contributed to the discussion. The connections and lessons learned today help ensure we're ready when our communities need us most!

⚑ Future utility professionals in the making! ⚑

On Monday, NEPPA welcomed students from Assabet Valley Regional Technical High School and Keefe Regional Technical School for our Tech Student Day. Students got hands-on exposure to both underground and overhead electric distribution systems while learning directly from NEPPA’s Safety Training Team.

From exploring real-world utility equipment to gaining insight into careers in the industry, the day provided a valuable look at the skills and dedication it takes to keep the lights on.

We're proud to help connect the next generation with opportunities in the utility field, and who knows, there may be a few future electricians and lineworkers in these photos! πŸ’‘πŸ‘·β€β™€οΈπŸ‘·β€β™‚οΈ
