The Clerk and Recorder’s Office is one of the busiest County offices, and comprises 120 employees and four offices throughout the county. Our services include: Motor Vehicle, Driver's License, Elections, Recording, Passports, Marriage/Civil Union Licenses, and Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. Clerk and Recorder Matt Crane was elected in November 2014 and is serving his first four-year term.

We know recent headlines about court cases and election laws may raise questions. Arapahoe County voters can be confident: preparations for the November 3, 2026 General are moving forward as planned.
Our job is straightforward — follow the law, prepare for Election Day, train our Election Judges, test equipment, and share clear information so every eligible voter can participate.
Don’t let the news discourage you from voting. Instead:
1. PLAN how you’ll vote.
2. PREPARE by checking your registration and voting information at www.GoVoteColorado.gov
3. ENGAGE by casting your ballot before 7 p.m. on Election Day.

If the first signature we got from you is from an LED screen & stylus, it probably won't match the one on your ballot return envelope. Look for a letter from our office asking you to provide a pen & ink signature for your voter registration file
