Elections.
Our yearly election will be held during this weekend's February meeting. You must be a paid member in order to vote, and this means that once again dues are being collected. If you would like to pay your dues, you can do so at any of the payment methods listed below.

We take the following forms of payment:
Zelle - [email protected]

Hello Colorado! Ready! Set! GO!

The Sports and Rec Division is so excited to announce our New Year, New You event! It will be held on Sunday, January 18, starting at 10 AM and ending around 2 PM. It will be held at the Colorado Center for the Blind
2233 West Shepperd Ave
Littleton, CO 80120

This event is set up to be a fun and interactive sampling of a few popular activities, as well as a discussion on nutrition labels and the use of AI to help you on your journey! Everyone will have the chance to participate in three half-hour-long sessions, culminating in a lunch that will be provided, where we can all socialize and discuss the morning, or maybe play a fun Alexa or card game! We will also have an Apple Watch SE, and please message me or any board member for questions on how to get your hands on one!
The three sessions will be:

1 Goalball: Join Brittany to learn about this sport designed for blind players and get a chance to play. If you really enjoy it, ask Brittany about joining the recreation goalball events that we are looking to hold regularly!

2 No Intimidation Yoga: Kaylee will lead this session that will focus on movement and flexibility more than getting into unfamiliar poses like a pretzel. The focus is on functional mobility and movements that feel good and create the foundation for feeling strong and stable.

3 Nutrition labels and how AI can help you on your journey: Join Erin and Brett to discuss those pesky nutrition labels and how to decipher them as well as some accessible ways of reading them. Learn how AI can assist you in making meal planning and nutrition easier and faster!

There will be a $5 fee to participate, but please reach out if finances are a concern as we want everyone who wants to attend to be able to attend! Please RSVP to any Sports and Rec board member by Tuesday January 13 so we can have an accurate count for lunch. my email is mailto:[email protected] or text me at 774-274-5702. We can accept Zelle payments, cash, or ApplePay. We also encourage anyone to email questions or ideas to our new email address: [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you there and joining us in taking the first step in setting us all up for success in the New Year!
Erin Daley
