Roxborough State Park is known for many things and one of them is it has been designated a Gold Standard Site by the Leave No Trace Center of Outdoor Ethics. We hold that standard high at the park in all of our educational programs. Once a month we feature one or more of the Seven Principles at a table talk to visitors at the park and then our main event happens each year on the first Saturday in June where we feature all Seven Principles. We invite you to this rockin' event with Bigfoot and Elbert the Bighorn Sheep taking in all the great stations with displays, activities, giveaways and songs from the Sasquatch Singerrs to promote these outdoor ethics right along with the visitors.

We invite you to join us at "Bigfoot Goin' To Rock The Rox" on June 6 from 9:00a - 2:00p! If you wear Bigfoot attire you will get a special prize and have photo opportunities with Bigfoot and Elbert!

We are open today (and every day) and our Visitor Center is open until 4:00p. Park closes at 9:00p.

As we enjoy the outdoors today, perhaps a BBQ, please take a moment to pause and remember why we get to enjoy these moments and those that lost their lives for our country.
