Sustainability resources, energy-saving tips, and what we’re working on for our community here in Littleton. Current members of the Sustainability Committee are:

The Committee typically meets on a monthly basis, and all meetings are posted in advance, in accordance with the Massachusetts Open Meeting Law.

🍳 Thinking about induction cooking but not sure what to expect?

When it was time to replace her stove, Barbara from Harvard considered gas but ultimately chose induction.

"I love my induction stove. I tested a single induction burner first and quickly realized how fast and responsive it was. Most of my pots already worked with it. I love that it heats up quickly, turns off instantly, and is more energy efficient than a traditional electric stove."

Stories like Barbara's are a reminder that sometimes the best way to learn about a new technology is from someone who's already using it.

Today we honor Juneteenth.

On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas finally learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Freedom owed, and freedom long delayed.

The history of environmental harm is also a history of who has been protected and who hasn't: clean air, clean water, and safe land have never been shared equally. Remembering that is part of what it means to think honestly about sustainability and the future we're trying to build.
