Help Us Find the Kind Person Who Dropped Off This Hard Hat ❤️

Recently, someone stopped by the City of Live Oak Annex and left behind this City hard hat along with a handwritten note explaining that it belonged to her late husband, who served as the City’s Building Official many years ago. She shared that he passed away around 2013 and that she found the hard hat while cleaning.

If this was you, we’d love to invite you to stop by the Annex Building and speak with our current Building Official, Tony.

We’d like to personally thank you for returning this piece of our City’s history, hear more about your husband’s time serving the City of Live Oak, and preserve the story behind the hard hat and the person who wore it.

If you know who dropped this off, please tag them or ask them to contact the annex building staff. We’d love the opportunity to meet them.

Thank you for helping us honor those who helped build and serve our community. ❤️🏛️
