🧡 Next week is UNITY WEEK at Arroyo Seco (Oct 19–22), and our theme is BE AN INCLUDER! 🧡

An “includer” is someone who notices when someone’s on the outside and makes an effort to bring them in.

👀 Caught Being An Includer
All week, we'll be celebrating students at lunchtime shout-outs when they're caught being includers. Things staff will be looking for:
• Inviting someone to play
• Making room at the lunch table or on the bench
• Saying hi to someone new
• Changing a game so one more person can join
• Being brave enough to ask, "Can I join you?"

Students who are “caught” being includers will take home an orange "Caught Being an Includer" postcard describing their Includer Moment. Keep an eye out for these in backpacks! Tag us when you see one, so you can brag about your inclusive student!

🟠 Don't forget to WEAR ORANGE on Wednesday, Oct 21 for Unity Day!

Together, we can make sure every kid at Seco feels like they belong. 💙

💙💛 Let’s Talk, Colts! ☕🍩

We’re excited to introduce Wait Until 8th at Arroyo Seco Elementary, and we’d love YOUR input!

Join us for a casual morning of coffee, donuts, and conversation as we come together to brainstorm ideas, share thoughts, and discuss what we’d love to see from this program at our school.

✨ ALL families are welcome! Whether you’ve already taken the pledge, are considering it, or are simply curious to learn more, we would love to have you there! No commitment necessary!

📅 Friday, October 16
⏰ 8:30 AM (right after drop-off)
☕🍩 Coffee & donuts provided!

This is an opportunity to connect with other Arroyo Seco families, ask questions, and help shape what Wait Until 8th could look like for our school community.

💙 Come as you are, bring your ideas, and let’s start the conversation!

📲 Scan the QR code on the flyer to RSVP!

Let kids be kids a little longer! 💙🐴
