This is the official page of the Livermore Police Department (the “Department”) in the city of Livermore (the “City”), CA. This site is intended to serve as a means of communication between the public and the Department. The purpose of this page is to communicate public safety information in an effort
to inform residents, and other fans of the Department about the latest news, activities, services and educational programs it has to offer. Please do not use our page to report criminal activity that requires a police response. If you have an emergency, please call 9-1-1. To report a non-emergency or suspicious activity, please call 925-371-4987 which will allow you direct access to our Dispatch Center. This page is NOT monitored 24/7. Please do not leave information regarding in progress crimes. This page is monitored and managed by members of the Department’s Social Media Team during regular business hours. Before posting on this page, please review these terms:
• A posting on this page constitutes acceptance of these terms.
• Do not use this page to report a crime.
• Posting information related to a crime on this page, is not deemed anonymous. You may be contacted by a Police Employee if you are a witness to a crime.
• “Liking” between the Livermore Police Department and a citizen does not indicate endorsement of that person’s actions or comments.
• This site shall not contain any of the following, and the Department reserves the right to remove comments containing any of the following elements as soon as possible:
a. Comments that are not topically related to the particular posting being commented upon. Vulgar language, including graphic, obscene, explicit, racist or sexist comments. Personal attacks of any kind. Abusive, hateful or slanderous comments to any person, ethnicity, religion, organization or nation. Content that promotes, fosters, or perpetuates discrimination on the basis of race, creed, color, age, religion, gender, marital status, national origin, physical or mental disability or sexual orientation. Sexual content or links to sexual content. Content that threatens or defames any person or organization. Comments in support of or opposition to political campaigns or ballot measures. Content that violates and copyright laws. Content that engages in or encourages illegal activity. k. Information that may compromise the safety or security of the public, public systems, or employees. l. Content that violates a legal ownership interest of another party. m. Personally identifiable or sensitive information, including medical information. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Department is not obligated to take such actions, and the Department and the City disclaim any and all responsibility and liability for materials deemed inappropriate for posting which cannot be removed in an expeditious and otherwise timely manner. A comment posted by a member of the public on this site is the opinion of the commentator or poster only, and the posting of a comment does not imply endorsement of, or agreement by, the Department or the City, nor do such comments necessarily reflect their opinions or policies.
