Livermore Bike Park The central meeting place for our community to strategize, coordinate, and do the real leg work to build a bike skills park in Livermore.

The Livermore Bike Skills Park Facebook Group is the central meeting place for our community to strategize, coordinate, and organize volunteers to do the real leg work to build a new bike skills park in town. Ideally, the park will have a pump track, dirt jumps, Strider track, skills area and an observation area with shade and picnic tables. The first step is to show support ("Like our page"), des

ign and submit a proposal to LARPD, and research other bike parks to find out what works well and what common problems to avoid. Once the proposal is approved we will need community input on the park design, help with fundraising including potentially recruiting local businesses as sponsors, and plenty of volunteers to help with building and maintenance of the bike skills park.

Hello Friends,

This is Mike Ralph. the guy behind this page. If we haven’t met yet in person, thank you for the support. I am a big believer in the power of the bicycle. I am also on the ballot this Fall for LARPD Director. The Board has 5 seats, and 3 of them are coming up for election. I think our fair city would benefit from someone looking out for the bike community. Livermore is a good “Bike Town” but we can do a heck of a lot more.

If you think the Pump Track was a step in the right direction, your vote would help a ton. If you would like a lawn sign, just send me your address and I’ll drop one off in early September.

Our first helmet giveaway was popular! We went through about 90 helmets in 30 minutes, and could have done a lot more. We learned a lot this round, and will be back bigger and better next time. Thanks to Trek Bicycle Company for the $20 coupons for those who did not get a helmet this round. Big thanks to Jack Thomas Twisselmann Avery 👑👼🌟 Connor Moore Zach Moore and Tito for handing out and fitting helmets.

Thanks to everyone that participated in the fundraiser. Because of you, we are putting new lids on 139 heads. Half will be going to local schools, and the other half will be distributed Monday August 10th from 3:00-6:00 pm at the Robert Livermore Community Center.

Friends,
We did it!!! We finished at $2615, beating our goal of $2500 over the weekend. The Kali helmet order goes in tomorrow, and we will be setting up riders of all ages with new bike helmets within a couple of weeks. Follow here for details on how they will be distributed, with half of them going to local Title 1 schools.

The big announcement is Trek Bicycle Livermore and Trek Bicycle Dublin are adding some freshly-tuned bikes into the mix for young riders that need an updated set of wheels.

We can use stickers and coupons for local businesses that want to share the stoke with our new riders. They will be handed out with the new helmets. Please DM if you want to add to the mix.

Nice work everyone! A very sincere thank you to everyone that donated and shared the message. Let's roll Livermore.
