Last Friday, our 2nd & 3rd graders showed us they have TALENT! And our Pre-K–1st grade judges gave them all excellent marks!

From cheering and stunts to back flips and cartwheels, our first YMCA Afterschool Talent Show was full of fun!

🥇 And our first talent show winners were our Kung Fu fighters, who wowed the judges with some awesome Kung Fu moves and flips!

We definitely have some talented kids in our Lyon Campus after- school program!

Last week wrapped up our Horticulture unit, and we ended it with some fun hands-on learning!

Smith Campus learned all about pollinators and the important role they play in helping plants grow. 🐝

Meanwhile, Lyon Campus answered a very important question: Where does popcorn actually come from?! They learned how popcorn goes from the field to one of our favorite snacks. 🍿

🏈 Play With Purpose.

Youth sports give kids more than a place to run, compete, and have fun. They give them opportunities to build skills that can shape what comes next.

Research from the Aspen Institute’s Project Play shows that children who participate in youth sports are more likely to attend college, perform better academically, and earn more as adults.

But the impact starts long before the classroom or the workplace.

It starts with learning to be part of a team.
With getting back up after a tough play.
With listening to a coach.
With showing up, trying again, and believing you can get better.

That’s why youth sports matter.

Because when kids play with purpose, they grow with purpose. 💙

Get your kids ready to run, throw, compete, and have FUN this fall! 🙌

Registration is open NOW for our Flag Football program for ages 4–14.

💰 $75 per child

With a $100 budget to start a business, these future entrepreneurs had to come up with a business name, decide what they would sell, identify who would buy it, determine how much it would cost, and figure out how they would convince people to buy it.
