The Overton County Recovery Court is designed to facilitate the treatment and rehabilitation of non-violent misdemeanor drug defendants who have been deemed eligible by the Recovery Court Team. The Recovery Court Team is a collaboration of different agencies including the District Attorney's Office, the District Public Defender's Office, the Recovery Court Administration, probation, treatment prov

iders and the General Sessions Court Judge. The Recovery Court's goal is to help individuals overcome their addiction and to eliminate or reduce the growing financial cost associated with drug related crimes and incarceration.
