Another good night for K9 Bear!

Officers requested the assistance of Bear’s sniffer on two traffic stops last night, both resulting in the seizure of methamphetamine. It’s always a win when we can get any amount of this poison off the streets.

It’s not always big busts!

Early this morning, we assisted on a traffic stop that resulted in the seizure of a small amount of a liquid substance that field tested positive for the presence of methamphetamine and fentanyl. This marks the second time in a month that we have seized suspected fentanyl. In both cases, the individual did not know that they were in possession of fentanyl. We would like to remind the community of the dangers of using illegal narcotics. There is no guarantee that street drugs are what you think they are.
Fentanyl is a dangerous and potentially fatal substance that is being combined with other street drugs, often without the user's knowledge. Don't leave your loved ones planning your funeral this holiday season because you overdosed on a drug you didn't even intend to use.
