Livingston native Tom Shellenberg and his wife Christine Hillegass are pillars of the Park County community, known for being incredibly generous givers, longtime volunteers, and proud grandparents.

We had the pleasure of hearing their philosophy on life and giving while sitting in Tom’s quiet office with walls covered in fine Western art. On the other side of the wall, employees and customers bustled through the aisles of Livingston’s Ace Hardware, which Tom has co-owned for twenty years.

Tom and Chris have truly lived “For the Love of Park County.” Showing their generosity once again, Livingston Ace Hardware is sponsoring the GIVE A HOOT Matching Pool, which inspires the whole community to participate in supporting their favorite local nonprofits during GIVE A HOOT, our month-long giving challenge every July. Thank you, Tom, Chris, and Livingston Ace, for your continued support!

Thank you glassybaby for your light 🕯 and support as a GIVE A HOOT Matching Pool Sponsor!

Giving is at the heart of glassybaby. Every piece given to someone you love—or to yourself—also gives back, supporting nonprofits that bring hope and healing to people, animals, and the planet. To date, nearly $16 million has been donated through this shared act of generosity!

Lee Rhodes founded glassybaby after her own experience with cancer, with a vision to create something that could hold light during life’s hardest moments. What began as a personal act of healing grew into a company rooted in generosity, where each piece carries forward her belief in the power of giving.

glassybaby welcomes the community to the Livingston hotshop to see the beautiful votives being hand blown by their glass artists. Every piece is beautifully crafted in Livingston and Seattle Washington.

PCCF has announced its 2026 We Will grant recipients, granting over $440,000 to 31 local nonprofit organizations that are working to solve the greatest challenges facing Park County.

"It's exciting to see how local nonprofits are making headway in each of the We Will categories." said Keva Ward, PCCF program manager. "As we listen to the needs of Park County residents, nonprofits continue to focus their efforts and make an impact in areas that are most important to our community."

According to the most recent survey, two of Park County residents’ biggest concerns are availability of housing, and the health and safety of children and families; therefore, a majority of the 2026 funding was granted to the Housing and Affordability, and Health, Safety, and Education community priority areas.

Carol and Sal Lalani began partnering with the Park County Community Foundation many years ago. Their love of family and of Park County's community inspired them to found the Shane Center, to name a birth center at the hospital, and to play a leadership role in the Give A Hoot Matching Pool campaign, to name only a few examples of their generosity.

Sadly, Carol lost her beloved Sal this past year, and the whole community has expressed their condolences. While she wishes she had more time with Sal, Carol continues working to honor her family and her community. In Sal's memory, the Lalani family participates in the Matching Pool once again this year to help all nonprofits achieve their good work. Thank you, Carol, today and always.

Meet Joe Wayne, Featured Artist for the 2026 Paradise Ramble 🌄

A Livingston-based painter and sculptor, Joe’s oil paintings and bronze sculptures reflect a fresh interpretation of impressionistic landscape and portraits, and have been featured in galleries across Montana, Wyoming, New Mexico, and South Carolina.

As our Featured Artist, we have selected Joe’s oil painting, “Broken Light on Water” (second photo) as the cover art for the 2026 Paradise Ramble poster that will adorn walls and windows throughout Park County this summer.

“For the Love of Park County,” the Paradise Ramble gathers neighbors together to celebrate community and philanthropy. Celebrate with us at the Paradise Ramble on Thursday, July 9 at Sage Lodge in Pray, MT.
