Join us this Wednesday, September 2nd at noon at Underpass Park in Livingston for a statue dedication ceremony for local legend, Warren McGee. The ceremony will include tributes from the partners who brought this monument to fruition as well as light refreshments inside the Depot Museum.

Over his remarkable 102-year life, Warren McGee left a lasting mark on Livingston and Park County. A master photographer and engineer, he documented decades of Northern Pacific Railroad history while championing many of the places and stories that helped define the local community.

Warren's legacy will be honored with a life-size bronze statue in Underpass Park thanks to a generous gift from The Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation and in partnership with the The Livingston Depot Center Foundation, the Park County Community Foundation, the City of Livingston, Montana, and the Livingston Downtown Building Owner and Business Association.

This week’s featured We Will grant recipient is the 4 Ranges Community Recreation Foundation 🏊‍♀️🏋️‍♀️🏀 As the featured grant recipient in our Health, Safety & Education priority area, 4 Range’s mission is to raise the funds required to design and build the future Gateway Wellness Center.

PCCF awarded 4 Ranges a 2026 We Will grant to support the 4 Ranges Capital Campaign to complete the wellness center and provide an array of health and wellness resources to Park County residents. Tentatively opening in February 2027, the new Gateway Wellness Center will feature an all-abilities aquatics area, indoor gym, fitness facilities, an indoor track, and dedicated spaces for partner organizations. The center’s comprehensive design reflects 4 Range’s commitment to fostering a supportive environment for physical and mental well-being. Learn more about 4 Ranges here: https://www.4ranges.org

Donations to PCCF’s Service to the Community supports our four programs: We Will community priority research and grants, administration of the GIVE A HOOT campaign, delivery of free Nonprofit Action Network professional development to local nonprofits, and Emerging Issues grants, which focused on food insecurity last year and now focuses on affordable housing solutions through the new Give Local program.

This week’s featured We Will grant recipient is the Greater Gardiner Community Council (GGCC) 🏘️ As the featured grant recipient in our Small Town & Rural Lifestyle priority area, GGCC’ s mission is to unite the diverse and passionate civic interests of the Gardiner community.

PCCF awarded Greater Gardiner Community Council a 2026 We Will grant to support their project to renovate and revitalize the Gardiner Community Center (pictured). Built in 1910 and the town’s largest gathering space outside of the school, the community center is undergoing structural repairs as well as accessibility upgrades with support from this We Will grant. Meet Our Board: We are pleased to introduce you to another new PCCF board member for 2026, Richard Millan.

A Livingston resident since 2018, Richard lives in a historic schoolhouse in the city’s central business district. Richard is a graduate of the Certified Public Accounting program at The University of Texas at Austin, and he also pursued extensive studies in advanced business law, real estate, finance, and international business.

As the founder of Millan & Co., P.C., he has played an instrumental role in the formation, consulting, and board service of several nonprofit organizations. The firm specializes in audits, accounting, tax planning, and compliance services for numerous tax-exempt organizations. Millan & Co. maintains offices in Central America, Texas, and Montana, and collaborates with affiliated organizations throughout each region.

Drawing on his extensive experience with foundations and nonprofit organizations, Richard is passionate about sharing his knowledge and expertise with the Park County Community Foundation and, ultimately, supporting the individuals and communities served by PCCF’s charitable initiatives.

This week’s featured We Will grant recipient is Project49 🎨 Focused on building community resilience, creativity, and opportunity by activating spaces in Park County, Project 49 is the featured grant recipient in our Economic Performance priority area.

PCCF awarded Project 49 a 2026 We Will grant to support their mission to build community resilience and opportunity in Park County with hands-on learning and new ways to explore skills, creativity, and belonging. Project 49’s current project, Studio49 in Livingston, is a community art studio, makers space, education zone, and events space in downtown Livingston that is focused primarily on youth. In the Shields Valley, tucked up against the North Bridger Mountains, there is a family-run bison ranch that produces regenerative, humanely field-harvested bison. PCCF is grateful to North Bridger Bison for their partnership with us as a venue sponsor for a special donor appreciation event we hosted at the end of July. Thank you, North Bridger Bison!

Matt and Sarah Skoglund started North Bridger Bison in 2018. Through management practices, which are rooted in Holistic Management and Regenerative Agriculture principles, the bison help build soil, improve soil quality, increase soil water retention, increase the amount and diversity of the grasses, forbs, and wildflowers on the landscape, and help reduce climate change through carbon storage in the soil.

With a strong belief in community, Matt is a board member of the Western Sustainability Exchange and the Bozeman Community Food Co-op, and former Vice President of the Montana Bison Association. Sarah worked for years for the Cancer Support Community in Bozeman and is currently a board member at Gallatin Valley Land Trust.

THANK YOU, PARK COUNTY! GIVE A HOOT 2026 has officially concluded and it was the best one yet!

While a few checks are still finding their way to our mailbox and detailed accounting continues, we know that Give A Hoot has inspired over $3.6 million in donations to 104 Park County nonprofits from more than 5,500 individual donations, including the generous gifts from our Matching Pool sponsors and supporters.

Thanks to this big-hearted community, the Give A Hoot 2026 campaign has enjoyed the following:

🪶The greatest number of individual donations
🪶The highest total dollars gifted by the community
🪶The most participating nonprofit organizations

“We are once again completely overwhelmed by the love and generosity this community shows year after year during Give A Hoot,” said Keva Ward, PCCF program manager. “Your support is game changing for our local nonprofits in their work to tackle some of Park County’s most difficult issues. To our generous donors, THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts!”
