During the water outage, you may have noticed fire apparatus from other counties and cities around town. We here at the Livingston Fire Department planned through the state-wide mutual aid program to have additional personnel and equipment on site in the event of a fire.

We increased our on-duty staff from three to six.

We added two water tenders for water supply.

We added one engine for filling tenders.

We had an average of 10-12 personnel from other departments here to assist with these needs. These positions where staffed from Noon on February 3, 2026 until 8 A.M. on Friday February 5, 2026.

We want to say thanks to all the departments and staff that assisted us during this event.

The Livingston Fire Department is proud to announce we have been awarded a grant of 41,000.00 to purchase turnout gear. This grant was made possible by The Department of Commerce and Insurance. This will allow us to replace ageing turnout gear.
