Navigating the legal system can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. At SAAFE House, we offer legal advocacy and court accompaniment to help survivors understand their options and feel supported every step of the way.

Our team can assist with protective-order related support, and when applicable, we can accompany survivors to law enforcement, prosecutors’ offices, or court. While we don’t offer legal advice, we’re here to make the process less intimidating and ensure no one has to go through it alone.

If you or someone you know needs confidential support, our 24/7 hotline is always here at (936) 291-3369. You’re not alone, and we’re here to help.

As students head back to school, it’s a great time to talk with the teens in our lives about healthy relationships, consent, boundaries, and where to turn when something doesn’t feel right. These conversations can make a real difference, whether you’re a parent, caregiver, educator, or teen yourself.

Our team at SAAFE House offers youth outreach and community education to help teens learn what respect, safety, and healthy communication look like. We keep everything age‑appropriate, supportive, and focused on empowerment.

If you or someone you know could use resources, guidance, or a safe place to ask questions, we’re here to help. Contact SAAFE House anytime for support or education resources.

Summer can be a busy season for families, and we know volunteer time often slows down. As the community settles back into school-year routines, this is a great time to reconnect and get involved again.

At SAAFE House, our need for compassionate, hands-on support never pauses. Our team depends on volunteers to help us provide free, confidential domestic violence and sexual assault services across Walker, Trinity, Polk, and San Jacinto counties.

Here are a few ways to plug in right now:

• Support our This & That Boutique & Resale Shop by sorting donations, assisting shoppers, and helping fund emergency shelter and survivor services.
• Volunteer at our emergency shelter by organizing supplies, prepping essential items, or helping with daily operations that keep women and children safe.
• Join us at community education events to help share resources, promote violence prevention, and connect families with free domestic violence and sexual assault support.
• Provide behind-the-scenes support like assembling resource packets or preparing materials for advocacy and counseling programs.

Whether you’re returning after a summer break or joining us for the first time, we’re grateful you’re here. Your time strengthens our crisis response and helps survivors access the support they deserve.

Supporting SAAFE House is about making long‑term safety, healing, and hope possible for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault across East Texas.

There are several meaningful ways to get involved:

• One-time donations help us meet urgent needs like emergency shelter for women and children, crisis intervention, and essential items for families.
• Monthly gifts give our team steady support to strengthen our 24/7 crisis hotline and expand free, confidential domestic violence and sexual assault services throughout Walker, Polk, Trinity, and San Jacinto counties.
• Legacy giving allows supporters to extend their impact for future survivors through planned gifts like bequests, trusts, or beneficiary designations.

Every contribution helps us continue building a Sexual Assault and Abuse Free Environment for our community.
