💛🎗️ GO GOLD DAY at CGE! 🎗️💛

Our PTO helped us kick off Go Gold Day in a BIG way this morning! They brought stickers and bracelets to hand out to our students and added a little extra fun with face paint! 🎨✨

We were also excited to have our Dads on Duty here welcoming our students and helping us start the day with lots of CGE spirit! 🦁

Thank you to our amazing PTO and Dads on Duty for always showing up for our students and making Cedar Grove such a special place! 💚

💚🎗️ What a morning at CGE! 🦁

Our community welcomed our students back in style this morning! A huge THANK YOU to our PTO parents for helping greet our Lions and kicking off Go Gold Day in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness. 🎗️

Our Dads on Duty were also here bright and early, greeting students and helping start the day with smiles, encouragement, and lots of CGE spirit! We are so thankful for the families and community members who show up for our students. 💚

Then, the encouragement continued with The NED Show’s Mindset Mission! 🎉🧠 Our students learned:

🌟 N – Never Give Up
🌟 E – Encourage Others
🌟 D – Do Your Best

We learned to GO BRAIN GROW! 🧠💪 and discovered the magic of the Yeti of YET! When something feels difficult, we don't say, “I can't do it.” We say, “I can't do it YET!” ✨

From being welcomed with love and school spirit to learning how to keep growing when things get tough, it was a GREAT morning to be a CGE Lion! 🦁💚

Due to continued power outages and flooding, Livingston ISD will remain closed on Thursday, September 3, 2026.

Some extracurricular activities will continue on Thursday, weather permitting.

🤍This Google Form must be completed by Friday, Sept. 4th in order for your student to try out.

❗️Even if you filled out the paper form-we need this Google form also!
🎶 If your student wants to try out for music memory, please email [email protected] with their name, teacher, and 5-1 preference with 5 being top preference.
💚As forms are submitted, try out study material will be sent with students trying out for 2nd-5th spelling and 4th-5th oral reading. Other events do not have study material prior to try outs.
🤍Try outs will be completed during the school day!
💚If your child makes a practice team, you will receive notification and details about their event on Sept. 17th from their coach!

This form is for your student to participate in tryouts for UIL. Even if you filled out the form at Meet the Teacher, please fill this in, so we have all the events they are interested in all together! Buses will run two hours later than the normal schedule.

🦁 Good Behavior Deserves to Be Celebrated! 💚

Officer McClean kicked off his Good Behavior Reward for students today! 🎉 We are excited to recognize students who make great choices and show our ROAR expectations throughout the school day.

👏 A big congratulations to Thomas and Ken'dalynn, our first students to earn the reward! Way to lead by example and show what it means to ROAR at CGE!

💚🖤 We can't wait to see who earns it next!
