Finally. Edouard's remnants are now bringing thunderstorms into parts of Houston. Those remnants continue to bring scattered tropical thunderstorms today and tomorrow, and more tropical moisture brings even higher rain chances for Saturday.

Here are the weather watcher rainfall totals from Edouard since midnight.

Overall, this was a very good thing for most of east Texas as we had a beneficial, soaking rainfall.

We expect more re-development overnight, so we are not out of the woods just yet when it comes to heavy rain and possible flash flooding.
