BACK TO SCHOOL, BACK TO SAFETY!

As families settle back into busy school-day routines, Livingston Fire & Rescue encourages everyone to take a few moments to review fire and emergency safety at home:

Keep backpacks, shoes, and other belongings away from exits and stairways.

Never leave breakfast or after-school cooking unattended.

Unplug hair tools and small appliances before leaving home.

Make sure children know two ways out of every room and where your family will meet outside.

Test smoke and carbon monoxide alarms and teach children when to call 911.

A few simple precautions can help everyone begin the school year safely. Livingston Fire & Rescue wishes our students, families, teachers, and school staff a safe and successful year!

Last night Livingston Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire on Billman Lane.
Inhabitants were able to safely get out, although the structure and pets were lost.
The flames from the structure did begin to spread into the grass in the surrounding area. With a quick response from our partner agencies the flames were all put out.
Huge thank you to all the people who responded. Stay safe Livingston.

🚧 Water Service Notice – Friday, August 7 🚧

Attention residents: City Water Department crews will be working on South 3rd Street on Friday, August 7 starting at 8am, to repair a water main leak.

Water service in the area will be temporarily disrupted while repairs are being completed. We will work to restore service as quickly as possible and appreciate your patience and understanding during this necessary repair. We appreciate our partnership with the Life Flight crew and the important role they play in providing critical emergency care and transport when every minute counts.

Community is what matters most to Livingston Fire & Rescue—and our community showed up in a big way for National Night Out 2026!

We had an amazing turnout and are incredibly grateful to everyone who joined us. A huge shoutout to the Park County Sheriff’s Office, Park County Rural Fire, U.S. Forest Service, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, Life Flight, Livingston HealthCare, Livingston/Park County 911 dispatchers, City Commission, Police Commission, MCRT, City of Livingston Public Works, and the Recreation Department for making this event such a success.

Bad Burger, Montana Melts, and Two Scoops Saloon were also on-site serving up amazing food throughout the evening!

Thank you, Livingston, for an unforgettable night!

Livingston Fire & Rescue was excited to welcome Sister City students visiting from Japan this week!

Our crew introduced them to the ladder truck, gave them a tour of an ambulance, and helped the students try on a full set of firefighter duty gear—complete with an air pack!

We love welcoming visitors and sharing what we do with members of our community and guests from around the world. Thank you for spending time with us!

Back-to-School Reminder for Parents!

As the new school year approaches, we want to remind families that Livingston HealthCare, in collaboration with Livingston Public Schools,provides a health clinic conveniently located on campus at Park High School.

This clinic is available to all 3-12 grade students at Park High School, Sleeping Giant Middle School and East Side Elementary School.

🩺 From routine checkups and minor illness care to ongoing support for chronic conditions, Family Nurse Practitioner Lindsay Comte provides convenient on-site medical care to help students stay healthy and in the classroom—so parents can spend less time away from work and more time focused on what matters most.

🧠 Because mental health is just as important as physical health, Licensed Clinical Psychologist Chris Spromberg is also available on-site to support students experiencing stress, anxiety, and other mental health concerns, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom.

This is convenient, compassionate care—right where your child learns. 💙 Because when students feel their best, they can do their best.

National Night Out is tomorrow!

Join us for food trucks, fire trucks, Sheriff’s Search and Rescue equipment, a Police K-9 demonstration, a helicopter, a U.S. Forest Service horse, and so much more!

Parking is available in the Park High School lot. Please watch for road detours around View Vista and leave pets at home.

Come down to Miles Park and meet Livingstons's first responders and enjoy this family event!
