Well, today was my last day as archivist for the Black Belt Archives. I can't believe today is here and happening. I want to thank everyone in the Division of Economic Development and Outreach, at the University of West Alabama, the city of Livingston, and Sumter County for being so welcoming and supportive during my time here for almost four years.

I'd also like to thank all of my colleagues, advocates, and local historians around the Black Belt region and state of Alabama for getting me involved in so many activities, programs, conferences, and societies. You all have influenced me so deeply, Alabama will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you so much and although I move onto a new adventure, I will cherish everything I've learned here.
