LPD has received reports of a new scam involving unpaid parking tickets. Scammers are sending text messages stating you have an unpaid parking ticket and request you follow the link in the message to pay it or a warrant will be issued. Do not tap on the link.

Please be aware:
- The City of Livingston will not text you about unpaid parking tickets

🚑 False crash alerts can activate real Search & Rescue responses.

That means volunteers, deputies, and emergency crews are deployed into dangerous conditions, pulling limited resources away from real emergencies.

If your device starts an emergency call:

✔️ Cancel it immediately if you are safe

✔️ Let it go through if you need help

False alerts put responders at risk and strain emergency services across Park County.

Ride smart. Ski smart. Respect the system.
Keep in mind that some electronic devices can interfere with beacon/transceiver function.

The widespread damage across Montana has been extensive, with the majority of outages caused by trees falling into powerlines. Please continue to watch for downed powerlines that may be hidden under debris. Always assume any downed line is energized and dangerous. Stay far away and report it immediately.
