The Book Buggy will be out until about 7pm. Come browse the expanded selection.
We have the Hunger Games trilogy in there. Take the whole series!
Bookmarks and stickers are refilled. There’s also a Reading Buddy waiting for a reader and some little containers of bubbles!

I just talked to some folks from Florida who were visiting local free libraries while they got a sense of the community. What a great way to connect!

We checked today to find the library bursting with newly dropped books!

If you need something to read while you hide from the heat, stop by and take a look at what we have! The book buggy will be out all day.
Unfortunately, it’s earwig season and they think our library is a nice hotel . The white powder in the library is diatomaceous earth. It is a nontoxic, people and pet safe pest solution. Just like any powder, it can irritate eyes or lungs if gotten in them, so beware of that.

Do you know about our local library Summer Reading Programs?
Livonia Public Library’s runs June 1- July 13. Redford Township Library’s is June 13-Aug 15.
Both are for all ages, even adults!! There are events, programs and prizes.
What are you reading? Where are you reading it?
I’m finishing Washington Black by Esi Edugyan. It’s quite good.

Happy Pride Month from Deering Street Book Station!
Here we believe that everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in the pages of a book. This June, we are celebrating Pride to honor the rich history, diverse voices, and vibrant stories of the LGBTQA+ community.

Libraries are meant to be safe spaces for discovery, empathy, and connection. By sharing q***r literature, we help build a kinder, more inclusive neighborhood where everyone feels seen, valued, and welcome.

Stop by, grab a book by an LGBTQA+ author, or leave a story that inspired you.

These are just some of the selections currently available in the library.
