Stitch Sessions invites participants ages 14 and older to spend a creative afternoon at Greenmead’s Alexander Blue House on Saturday, Nov. 7. This welcoming program offers a relaxed environment where attendees can learn, practice, and enjoy the art of crochet while surrounded by others who share an interest in handmade crafts. Whether someone is just getting started or already has experience, there is a session designed to fit every skill level.

Two beginner crochet classes are available, running noon-2 p.m. and again 2:30-4:30 p.m. These sessions are perfect for anyone curious about transforming yarn into beautiful, handmade creations using basic stitches and simple techniques. Friendly instruction helps participants build confidence, making it a great starting point for those new to fiber arts or looking to refresh old skills.

For those who are ready to advance their abilities, an advanced crochet class will be offered from 5-7 p.m. This session focuses on using single, double, and chain stitches to learn how to crochet “in the round,” opening the door to more intricate and creative projects. Each session is $35 for residents and $38 for non‑residents, and advance registration is required at https://secure.rec1.com/MI/livonia-mi/catalog/index/45695d929bd9407cc81d1a9fc477c443?filter=c2VhcmNoPXN0aXRjaA==
