Welcome to Livonia!

We’re continuing to introduce some of the newest members of our Bulldog family as we get ready for the new school year. Meet two more new faces joining our Elementary School team!

Miss Lattuca | K–2 Special Education

A SUNY Geneseo graduate who is currently working toward her master’s degree at SUNY Cortland, Miss Lattuca is excited to support her students as they work toward their individual goals, celebrate their successes, and grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, swimming, baking, and going for walks. Her favorite author is Elle Kennedy, and if Hollywood ever comes calling, she’d pick Anne Hathaway to play her in a movie!

Mrs. Soback | ES Teacher Aide

Mrs. Soback is looking forward to getting to work with our kiddos! She enjoys reading and spending time with her family, including her husband, Coty, and their three children, Sophia, Jackson, and Oakley, who attend Livonia. Her favorite place is the Jersey Shore, and her favorite author is Rebecca Yarros.

We’re so glad to have both of you joining the Bulldog family. Please help us give Miss Lattucca and Mrs. Soback a warm Livonia welcome! 🐾

Welcome to Livonia!

We’re continuing to introduce some of the newest members of our Bulldog family as we get ready for the new school year. Here are four more new faces joining our team!

Mrs. Visalli | ES Behavior Specialist
Mrs. V is looking forward to meeting all of our kiddos and learning their names! A SUNY Geneseo graduate, she enjoys camping, reading, and walking her three dogs, Ginger, Skywalker, and Lemon. Her favorite animals include sharks, bats, and wolves!

Mr. Johnson | 5th Grade
A Livonia native and SUNY Geneseo graduate, Mr. Johnson is excited to return to his roots and work within the community! He enjoys motorcycling, boating, cooking, reading, and musicals. Fun fact: he’s also a singer!

Mrs. Tusch | MHS Spanish
A Livonia native, Mrs. Tusch is looking forward to meeting all of her students and being part of an amazing educational team. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, sewing, taking walks with her family, and spending time with their two dogs and many chickens!

Mrs. Wilkinson | MHS Science
Mrs. Wilkinson brings a unique background to Livonia! Before following her passion for teaching, she worked as an Aerospace Engineer for almost 20 years. She’s looking forward to teaching Physics and Principles of Engineering and enjoys astronomy, 3D printing, crocheting, quilting, crafting, hiking, and camping.

We’re so glad to have all four of you joining the Bulldog family. Please help us give them a warm Livonia welcome! 🐾

Safety Reminder: E-Bikes, E-Scooters & Other Motorized Riding Devices on Campus

Throughout the summer, we have seen an increase in e-bikes, e-scooters, mini-bikes, and other motorized riding devices on school grounds. Unfortunately, we have also seen unsafe riding and several near-misses with vehicles that could have resulted in serious injury.

As we prepare for the start of the school year and increased traffic on campus, we are asking families to please review these expectations:

🚫E-bikes, e-scooters, mini-bikes, and other unregistered/unlicensed motorized riding devices may not be ridden on campus roads.
🚫Motorized riding is prohibited on all campus sidewalks and pedestrian pathways, except for authorized use by District employees.
👦Under New York State law, riders must be at least 16 years old to operate an e-bike or e-scooter.
⛑️Anyone riding a permitted bicycle or device to campus should wear a helmet, ride responsibly, watch carefully for vehicles and pedestrians, and follow all applicable traffic laws.

E-bikes and e-scooters can travel much faster than a traditional bicycle, and their relatively quiet operation can make them difficult for drivers and pedestrians to see or anticipate. With buses, student drivers, staff, families, and pedestrians all sharing our campus, everyone's cooperation is important.

Please take a few minutes to talk with your children about where these vehicles can be used safely and legally. Our goal is simple: preventing an accident before someone gets hurt.

Welcome to Livonia!

As we get ready for a new school year, we’re excited to introduce some of the newest members of our Bulldog family! Over the next two weeks (15 days, but who's counting?), we’ll be helping you get to know the new faces joining our team.

Mrs. Fortunato | ES Assistant Principal
Mrs. Fortunato is looking forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff. When she’s not at school, you might find her running with her weekend Run Club, spending time with family, or cheering on the Buffalo Bills!

Mr. Ziegler | ES School Psychologist
After recently moving back to New York from Colorado, Mr. Ziegler is excited to join the Livonia community. He enjoys golf, BBQing, brain teasers, and problem solving, and believes no problem needs to be solved alone!

Miss Burley | Kindergarten
Miss Burley might look familiar! She joined us last year as a long-term substitute, and we’re excited that she has officially joined the Livonia team as a kindergarten teacher this year. She’s looking forward to building relationships with her students and creating a positive classroom community where they can learn and grow.

Mr. Schnitter | MHS Special Education
A Buffalo native, Mr. Schnitter is a five-time Boston Marathoner who enjoys running, reading, and writing. He’s excited to join a strong educational team here at Livonia!
