Blessings in a Backpack - Livonia Addresses the problem of weekend childhood hunger in Livonia. Affiliated with national office of Blessings in a Backpack (http://blessingsinabackpack.org)

Blessings in a Backpack-Livonia is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that addresses the problem of weekend childhood hunger in the Livonia Public School System. Each week backpacks are packed by volunteers and distributed Fridays to the participating LPS children who are "at-risk". These school children return the backpacks on Monday, to be refilled for the following week. Backpacks contain six

meals consisting of such foods as tuna, chicken, peanut butter, macaroni & cheese, oatmeal, fruit juices, soup, beef ravioli, canned fruit and granola bars. To mail us a donation, please direct it to the following:
