***Note - 08/26/26***
TxDOT advised us of time changes to these school zones, and we have changed the times on the graphic to reflect the new/current ones according to TxDOT.

Here are the school zone times and speeds for the campuses located in the City of Llano. We're also pleased to say that the crews were in town yesterday to replace the bulbs on the Jr. High zone signs...the east side light was especially hard to see with the sun shining on it during the morning.

We know that Packsaddle Elementary and the Kingsland School have school zones to pay attention to as well. We don't know the times on those zones as we are focusing on the campuses that are in our jurisdiction...the City of Llano. If you'd like more information on those zones, or patrols, the Llano County Sheriff's Office is your contact.

No matter where you live, please start getting it in your head that you need to slow down and pay attention in the morning and afternoon as you drive through these areas.

First day of school is Thursday, August 13th...tomorrow! We want our kiddos safe and that means you need to pay attention to the flashing lights on the school zone signs and your speed.

With the first day of school being just a couple of days away, we figure now would be a good time for parents and guardians to go over some basic safety rules and information if your kiddo is walking/biking to school.

Take a few minutes to run down this checklist and get with the young'uns to make sure they're clear on all of this. We hope going over these things will help keep your kids safe and give you a little peace of mind knowing that they understand the safety aspects of getting to and from school.
