UPDATE: power should be restored to all areas. Looks like it was lightning caused in a substation.

Crews are aware of the outage affecting Centennial Park & Cane Beds area and heading that way. We will update as we get more information.

UPDATE, 12:37 p.m. RMP has posted they expect power to be restored by 3:30 p.m.

We've had two separate issues affecting power in the Colorado City/Hildale area. The first one was caused by a vehicle hitting a power pole. The second issue is a transmission issue from the Rocky Mtn. Power line that feeds the area, which we suspect is weather related from the storm that is coming our way. We will update more as we gather information from Rocky Mtn. Power.

UPDATE; We expect power to be restored to all areas within the next 2.5 hours, including Moccasin.

For Moccasin residents and surrounding areas, we expect power to be out until midnight. Crews are working efficiently, but with the amount of poles that need to be replaced, it will still be approximately 7 more hours. Other areas we expect it to be restored sooner.

Crews are on site to repair the poles ripped apart by a crazy large wind gust. The crews expect it to be multiple hours to get everyone restored, while others will be restored quicker. They'll be working quickly and safely to repair the damage. These poles are located on the Arizona strip on the way to the North Rim.

We have found the problem causing the power outage to the Kanab and Kanab Creek ranchos, Orderville, Mt. Carmel, Fredonia, Moccasin and Cane Beds area. We have some poles down, so we are evaluating the restoration time. We will update shortly.

Update 9 pm: Crews have made a lot of progress in getting many of our members restored at this time. They are still working hard to get everyone back on.
Update 6 pm: Crews are slowly restoring parts of the lines as they are able to inspect each section. We are hopeful to restore power in the next few hours.
Update 4pm: Additional crews have been brought in from other areas to help patrol the lines. We thank you for your continued patience as our crews work as quickly and safely as possible.
Update1pm: Crews are still patrolling the line. Due to the current hot/dry conditions, we are taking extra time to carefully inspect the line for any potential hazards before reenergizing. Thank you for your patience.
