Two rounds of severe storms are expected, one this morning and another from mid-afternoon through the evening.

● Tornadoes, damaging winds, and large hail are all possible.
● Flash flooding is also a concern, especially near and north of I-74.

🚨 The most likely place in the USA to see a tornado tomorrow is around Springfield, IL, Peoria, IL, and Champaign, IL.

This is a Level 4 of 5 risk for tornadoes. We'll be watching this one closely.

Two days out, eyes on Wednesday. SPC just hung a Level 3 risk over Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana.

This one looks like an all-hazards day. Storms should fire in the afternoon, first as a few strong supercells across Missouri and Illinois, then clumping into one big line as the evening goes on.

That means strong tornadoes early, then a long swath of damaging wind, gusts of 70 mph or more, as the line plows east. Plenty can still shift around, but the setup has their attention this far out.

SIGNIFICANT OUTBREAK possible Wednesday across the same areas - northern Missouri into central Illinois!

This is an incredibly strong polar jet stream for this time of year, and a crazy trough ejection is forecast to unleash on the Corn Belt Wednesday.
