The Castanea Township Recreation Committee is looking for donations for our Basket Raffle Fundraiser during Castanea Day on Saturday, July 18th at the Historic Train Station Complex!

Residents are invited to clean out attics, closets, sheds, garages, porches, and yards during our annual Dumpster Day on:

📅 Saturday, June 13th
⏰ Starting at 8:00 AM until dumpsters are filled
📍 Castanea Township Municipal Building - 347 Nittany Rd., Lock Haven

✅ For Castanea Township residents only.

🚫 Please note we cannot accept:
• Hazardous waste
• Explosives
• Asbestos
• Flammables
• TVs or computers
• Medical waste
• Typical daily household trash

♻️🛞 Two Truck Loads & 103 Tires Collected in Castanea! 🛞♻️

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the recent tire collection effort in Castanea Township! Thanks to the support of our residents and Township road crew, we successfully collected 103 tires — filling two full truck loads headed for proper disposal and recycling.

Efforts like this help keep our community clean, safe, and beautiful for everyone. We appreciate everyone who took the time to help make this event a success!

Clinton County Residential Tire Collection Days!

The Clinton County Solid Waste Authority will be holding a Residential tire collection. As a service to residents of Castanea, Castanea Township will pick up tires by May 8th until 1 PM. Tires can be placed out in your front yards for pick-up on Saturdays between now and May 2nd. The Township will make a final collection on Friday, May 8th and tires should be out by the curb no later than 1 PM that day. Additionally, residents can drop off tires at the Township Building (347 Nittany Valley Road) in the parking lot. Please send us a message on Facebook or call the Township (570-748-9070) so we can ensure your tires are collected.

Please attempt to not have any rim on tires. You may take tires to landfill if you want to at no charge to residents of Clinton County. Charges will apply to "out of County" tires.

Proof of residency is required when taking tires to landfill.
COLLECTION IS NOT OPEN TO TIRE DEALERS, SERVICE STATION, REPAIR GARAGES, TIRE SALES OUTLETS OR SIMILAR FACILITIES.
