Youth Services at Ross Library seeks to enrich the community with quality programs including STEM and STEAM activities, books, computers, and space for tutoring, therapy, and play. Ross Children's Library's page hopes to inform, enlighten, and entertain families about opportunities available to promote literacy and lifetime learning to young people and the young at heart through your local public lbrary.

What an incredible start to Summer Reading 2026!

A huge THANK YOU to the 112 children, families, and community members who joined us for our Kick Off to Summer Reading Party. We loved seeing so many smiling faces enjoying games, crafts, activities, dinosaurs, and all the fun that kicked off our "Unearth a Story" summer adventure!

A special thank you goes to the wonderful princesses from Twinkling Tiara Parties for spending the afternoon with us and helping create magical memories for our young readers. Their kindness, stories, and photo opportunities were a highlight of the day!

We'd also like to recognize our amazing lemonade stand volunteers and everyone who stopped by to make a donation. Thanks to your generosity, they doubled their goal proving once again what a caring and compassionate community we have!

A huge thank you to The Lily Pad Mobile Booktique for generously donating summer reading kits for our participants! Your support helps inspire a love of reading and makes our Summer Reading Program even more exciting for local children and families. We are so grateful for your kindness, community spirit, and commitment to helping young readers grow, learn, and discover new adventures through books. Thank you for helping make Summer Reading 2026 a success!

Join us for our Kick Off to Summer Reading celebration at the Ross Library Parking Lot and get ready to Unearth a Story all summer long!

Stop by for an afternoon of fun featuring:
🦖 A special dinosaur visitor
👑 Princesses from Twinkling Tiara Parties from 1:00–3:00 PM
🎨 Crafts, activities, and summer reading sign-ups 📚 Fun for the whole family

We'll also have a lemonade stand benefiting childhood cancer awareness and research, with all donations going toward this important cause. Be sure to stop by, grab a refreshing cup of lemonade, and help make a difference for children and families affected by cancer.

Whether you're signing up for Summer Reading, meeting a princess, saying hello to a dinosaur, or simply enjoying a fun day at the library, we can't wait to celebrate with you!

We have summer reading kits from The Lily Pad Mobile Booktique, and first 100 sign ups get a Ross Library tote bag!!

We're thrilled to welcome princesses from Twinkling Tiaras Parties from 1:00–3:00 p.m. Stop by to meet the princesses, take photos, and enjoy a little royal magic!

🦕🎉 The countdown is on! Summer Reading is almost here, and we're kicking things off with a ROAR-some party at Ross Library!

Join us on Saturday, June 20, drop in anytime from Noon–3:30 p.m. for an afternoon packed with fun, imagination, and adventure. Sign up for our Summer Reading Program, enjoy games, crafts, music, princess visits, and even meet a dinosaur (our very own Mr. Saverio)!

Costumes are encouraged! Come dressed as your favorite dinosaur, princess, superhero, or any character you love.

Whether you're a longtime library fan or visiting for the first time, this is the perfect way to start your summer. Bring your friends, bring your family, and get ready to Unearth a Story with us!

Last chance to join us for a special Father's Day Storytime this week in the Gould Room!

We'll celebrate all the dads, grandpas, uncles, and special father figures in our lives with 2 stories and a fun Father's Day craft. This week, we'll be reading My Dad by Chae Strathie and I Love You for Miles and Miles by Alison Goldberg before creating an adorable keepsake handprint craft that the little ones can take home and gift to someone special.

On Saturday, the Gould Room was transformed into a fairy-themed birthday party to celebrate Leon!

Ms. Kayla read two enchanting fairy stories then helped the kiddos create beautiful flower crowns to complete their fairy looks.

Thank you to Leon and his family for choosing to celebrate with us. It was such a joy to be part of this magical day filled with stories, creativity, and plenty of smiles. We hope these memories will be treasured for years to come!

🦴🦕 The Bloomsburg Children's Museum is back at Ross Library today! 🦕🦴

Join us at 1:00 p.m. for Fabulous Fossils, a hands-on adventure perfect for curious kids who love dinosaurs, rocks, and discovering the past!

Participants will:
🔎 Excavate real fossils
🦴 Learn how fossils formed millions of years ago
🌿 Practice identifying different types of fossils
📿 Create their very own fossil necklace to take home

We'll be meeting outside on the library patio, so dress comfortably and get ready to dig into some prehistoric fun!
This exciting program combines science, discovery, and creativity in a kid-friendly way. We can't wait to explore the ancient world with you!
