As you may have read in the local news outlets over the past year the Hope Hose Company # 2 and the Hand-In-Hand Hose Company are merging. Over the past year members of both Companies have put in countless hours to make this a reality. As you may have noticed driving down East Church Street past our station we have started the rebranding process. Come January 1st at 12:01 am Eastside Fire Rescue will go in to service and Hope Hose Company Number 2 will be going out of service. This page will no longer be used as we will be starting a new one for the new Company.

This evening members completed the installation of six new Kenwood Digital P25 portable radios and charger unit purchased from Derek at Centre Communications Inc. This purchase was made possible by a grant received from The Office of the State Fire Commissioners Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program.

Centre County 9-1-1 Emergency Communications is deeply saddened to share the tragic passing of Chief Deputy Coroner Judy Pleskonko. Judy was a friend to everyone in the emergency services, and a very close friend to us here in the 9-1-1 center. Judy would frequently stop in to visit our staff, bring snacks, and simply be the joyful and caring person she always was. We ask that you please keep her family and loved ones in your thoughts, as well as her partners in the Centre County Coroners Office. Judy was such an inspirational leader for Centre County's First Responders, Medical Professionals, and was always so empathetic to the families she was helping during their lowest of times.

Rest in Peace Judy, you will not be forgotten.
