Eastside Fire Rescue is the creation of two of the former City fire companies (Hand-In-Hand Hose Co. and Hope Hose Co.) merging together to better serve the community from one location. The company was officially formed on January 1, 2024.

**** ATTENTION **** **** ATTENTION ****

As of January 1st 2024 after 136 amazing years of serving the residents of City of Lock Haven the Hand In Hand Hose Company has closed its doors for the final time. We would like to take this opportunity and say THANK YOU to all of the residents of City of Lock Haven for all of your continuous support through our years of service.

As for all of the Fire Companies throughout Clinton, Centre, and Lycoming Counties it has been great working with all of you as Hand In Hand Hose Company and Engine 1. We also want to say Thank you for all of your continuous support through the years as well.

We have merged with Hope Hose Company #2 and formed
Eastside Fire Rescue Station 42 located at 124 East Church Street Lock Haven

We look forward to continuing serving the great residents of the City of Lock Haven and assisting all the Fire Companies throughout Clinton, Centre, and Lycoming Counties as Eastside Fire Rescue Station 42

Our page will stay active for history and memories however this will be the final post

Tonight was our annual company "Ladies Night Dinner" held at the Village Tavern where we have a nice meal with our significant others to give thanks for them putting up with our shenanigans. The members also presented former Chief Bob Neff with yet another plaque thanking him for his long time served as Chief of the Handies and years of his career as a firefighter for the City of Lock Haven Fire Department. We would like to wish him well and hope to see him for many more years at incidents and around the firehouse.

***October 5th 2023 ***
We were asked by Mr.Reeder to bring Engine 1 up to do a presentation for the Emergency Services Club. Firefighter Stover went over all the different types tools and equipment on the Engine and the students also had the chance to try on some turnout gear. We would like to say Thank you to Central Mountain Middle School and Mr.Reeder for inviting us.
