Today, 13 staff/volunteer members (and 1 adopted provider from a neighboring agency) participated in PreHospital Trauma Life Support class at our station.
Funded with grant monies from the PA Act-13 (Unconventional Gas Well Impact Fee) - Goodwill was able to hold the 16 hour course, in-house at no cost. This nationally recognized course, gives clinicians a standardized baseline for assessments and treatment for all trauma patients we may encounter.
We are fortunate to have received the funding so that a large number of our staff could participate without having to travel or pay out of pocket (minimum of $300-$350 per person).

We wanted to give a shout-out to our friends at the Texas Lunch, LH Rotary Club and a couple other generous community members who have donated cases of water and Gatorade to the station this past week! These donations are used to hydrate our fire fighters and staff on scenes during rehab operations. We truly appreciate the support!!

Stay Cool this week -- check in on your neighbors and drink more water than normal to stay hydrated! 🥵 It's going to be a hot week to celebrate America's Birthday! 🇺🇸

Time may continue to fly by, but this beautiful soul will never be forgotten.
5 years ago, we tragically lost one of our own. Some of her whitty sayings still bring smiles to our faces when we need them most. She also serves as a reminder to make mental health a priority and that the statistics are all too real. Ashley, we know you are still riding with us every time we are called. We miss you! ❤️
