As many of you are already aware, there was an accident earlier this morning involving a truck at a location minimally west (in front of U.S. Post Office) of the State Route 90 and State Route 38 intersection. State Route 90 remains impassable in that location for an undetermined length of time. Please find an alternate route of travel. Updates will be given as information becomes available.

The Town Clerk’s office will be open the following hours this week:

Tuesday 6/16 4:30-6:00
Wednesday 6/17 4:30-6:00
Thursday 6/18 4:30-6:00

Normal hours resume the week of June 21st.

The State of Emergency for the Town of Locke has been lifted as of 4:45 P.M. on Wed. April 1, 2026. All state, county, and town roads are open with the exception of the seasonal portion of Pierce Road.

Thank you to the Locke Highway Department, Locke Volunteer Fire Department, New York State Department of Transportation, and Cayuga County Emergency Management Office for their assistance.

Director of Emergency Services Riley Shurtleff has reopened State Route 38. The State of Emergency remains in effect. Any residents that evacuated their homes can return to them; a safety assessment should be done before power is turned back on. Please contact the Locke Fire Department if your basement needs to be pumped out.
