Something... Slimy, this way comes...
Join us for California State Parks Week! We'll be doing an entire week of special programing from June 10 to June 14 to celebrate our shared public spaces.
June 10 at 9am, we'll be having a Learn to Fish Program at Delta Meadows! Register your interest at [email protected].
June 11 at 10am, we're going to have a meditative walk, also at Delta Meadows! Join us for a mindful, calm walk through oak groves and along riverine habitat. No registration required, bring comfortable walking shoes, water and sun protection.
June 12 at 11am, we'll be having a walking history tour of Locke, CA. Come learn the importance of Chinese American immigration to the California Delta, and how Locke got its reputation as a 'Monte Carlo on the Sacramento River.'
And finally, we're having a double-header of programs on June 13 at Brannan Island State Recreation Area, with our Learn to Fish program at 9am and our Learn to Canoe program at 11am! Register your interest with [email protected], avoid the park's entrance fee by acquiring the free State Parks Library Pass!
And this is all in addition to our regular programs for the month, including the start of our JR Ranger programs, June 20 at 10am and June 27 at 2:30pm. Designed for kids aged 6-12, let your kiddos enjoy a fun and informative talk on various topics like birdwatching, how to recreate safely on the water, or getting to know the animals of Brannan Island!
Come enjoy the start of summer with us in the Delta Sector of your California State Parks! More California State Parks Week events can be found at castateparksweek.org.
