📚 Dr. Eugene Clark Library Improvements Underway!
Exterior and interior improvements at the Dr. Eugene Clark Library began as part of ongoing efforts to preserve and enhance this historic community landmark.

Work began with exterior cleaning, surface preparation, minor repairs, and painting and will be followed by interior painting. The project is expected to take approximately six to eight weeks to complete.

Crews are coordinating work around scheduled library programs and the September 11–12 Diez y Seis Celebration to help minimize disruptions.

We appreciate the community’s patience as these improvements are completed and look forward to seeing the library refreshed inside and out! 📖✨

♻️ WHAT CAN BE RECYCLED & WHEN?
Recycling in Lockhart is easier than ever with Republic Services’ Expanded Waste & Recycling Services!

📅 When is recycling collected?
Recycling is picked up every other week on your regular collection day. Be sure to check your collection schedule to know whether you’re on an A or B recycling week.

♻️ What can I recycle?
Lockhart uses single-stream recycling, which means accepted recyclable materials can all go together in your recycling cart—no sorting required!

Knowing what belongs in your recycling cart helps reduce contamination and ensures recyclable materials can be properly processed.

🚛♻️ Old Trash & Recycling Cart Roundup ALL NEXT WEEK!
Still have your OLD trash or recycling carts? Republic Services will conduct a second roundup of cart pickups Monday, August 17 through Friday, August 21.

Here’s what you need to do:
✅ Beginning August 17, place BOTH of your OLD trash and recycling carts at the curb on your regular collection day.
✅ Make sure your old carts are completely empty.
