The Lockport Housing Authority community is saddened to announce the passing of long-time Board of Commissioner member Gerald (Jerry) DeFlippo. Jerry served on the Board since 2007, serving as Chairman from 2015-2025 and was currently serving as Secretary at the time of his passing.

Jerry was truly dedicated to the housing authority's mission of providing quality affordable housing to the community and strongly supported our resident programs, especially our annual Junior Police Academy.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to the DeFlippo family and to all those touched by his dedication and kindness.

The Lockport community has lost an amazing person. "Bob" Ray volunteered tirelessly around the community with his only reward of seeing the smiling faces of those he affected.

Due to the weather conditions, Lockport Housing Authority offices will be closed tomorrow. Maintenance staff will report for snow removal duties and emergency repairs.
