A Note from the Assessor's Office:

The Lockport Township Assessor's Office will have Field Inspectors out taking pictures of houses in different neighborhoods throughout the Township over the summer. This is for the purpose of updating and maintaining township property records as required by state statute.

Please note our field inspectors will never ask to go inside your home and can be identified with badges as well as their safety t-shirts.

We are incredibly grateful to Congresswoman Lauren Underwood for securing a $1.95 million federal grant for Lockport Township! These funds will support the development of a Will County emergency shelter and regional training hub at the Township Offices.

We also thank Congresswoman Underwood for joining us yesterday, along with Will County Executive Jennifer Bertino Tarrant, to tour the facility and learn more about this initiative.

The celebration, led by Supervisor Alex Zapien and the Lockport Township Board, also included partners from the Lockport Township Fire Protection District, Lockport Township High School, and other community leaders.

More updates will be shared as this important project moves forward.
