Have you ever wondered what it takes to keep the City of Locust Grove running each day? Now is your chance to go behind the scenes!

This inaugural seven-session Citizens’ Government Academy will give participants an inside look at City government through:

✅ Presentations from City staff and elected officials
✅ Guided tours of City facilities
✅ Hands-on activities
✅ Conversations with the people who serve our community

📅 First Session: Tuesday, October 13, 2026
⏰ Time: 6:00–8:00 PM
🗓️ Seven sessions through November 24
The Election Day session will be held Thursday, November 5.

REMINDER: Notice of City Office Closures and Trash Pickup Schedule

City Offices and Facilities will be closed on Friday, July 3, 2026, in observance of Independence Day.

• Curbside Trash Pickup will operate on a holiday schedule on July 4th, with collections occurring ONE day later than usual (Saturday).
• The Solid Waste Collection Center located at 100 Mose Brown Drive will be open on Saturday, July 5, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
